Changes to the pesticide control in Russia
20.04.2023
According to the latest requirements adopted by the State Duma of Russian all the pesticides and agrochemicals registered in the country should be provided for analysis to the state authorities. In case this requirement is not met (either the sample is not provided at all or the sample provided is different in composition from the registered one), the product may be excluded from the list of registered pesticides and agrochemicals in Russia.
Therefore, from March 2023 the sample of the product, the analytical standard of the AI and the method of determining the AI should be provided to the Grain Quality Assessment Center (Ramenskoye) within 30 days after the registration of the product. The sample should be provided in the amount of 1 l (kg) and 50 mg of the analytical standard. It will be handed over to the Ramenskoye laboratory for storage. This requirement relates to quality assessment of the product in case of controversial issues. Upon request, the Grain Quality Assessment Center can issue a notification of sample acceptance. Storage of samples is free of charge.
If for any reason the seller/registrant/applicant/representative, etc. cannot send a sample and analytical standard to Ramenskoye within the specified period, a letter with explanations should be provided to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).
