The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) declares that glyphosate is not a carcinogen
19.05.2017
On March 15, ECHA’s Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) assessed glyphosate’s hazardousness based on report of toxicological studies and has declared that there is no scientific evidence to classify glyphosate as a carcinogen, as a mutagen or as toxic for reproduction.
The Committee said that glyphosate would remain classified as an active ingredient that causes serious eye damage and is toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
