Mutagenicity studies on active ingredient and formulation in the Russian Federation

Currently at the Сenter for the hygienic regulation of means of chemization of agricultural industry of Federal Scientific Centre of Hygiene n.a. Erisman the following two types of mutagenicity studies are conducted compulsory not only on active ingredient as was previously, but also on formulation:
- mutagenicity study of a product or an active ingredient by the method of assessment of a back mutation on the bacteria (Ames Test) (OECD);
- assessment of mutagenicity of an active ingredient (product) in the mammalian erythrocyte micronucleus test in vivo.
